Blooming Opportunities Through Roses in Dara-e-Nur

This short documentary highlights how rose cultivation and value addition are creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for farming communities, women, and youth in Dara-e-Nur District of Nangarhar Province.
Supported by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and implemented by DACAAR under the project Strengthening Licit Livelihoods and Market Access for Women and Youth in Post-Poppy Communities of Herat and Nangarhar, the initiative promotes legal and sustainable income opportunities through rose cultivation, processing, and market-oriented skills development.
The video showcases the natural beauty of Dara-e-Nur, local rose orchards, beneficiary experiences, and the processing of value-added products such as rose tea and Gul Qand, demonstrating how the project is helping communities strengthen their livelihoods and build a more sustainable future
