·
Provide programmatic advice to the Deputy
Director / Head of Programme and Director on matters related to all thematic areas.
·
Advise the programme
management in the areas of project planning, design, implementation and
monitoring and evaluation, including technical components of proposal /report
writing.
·
In
close coordination with the Deputy Director / Head of Programme write technical papers on WASH,
NRM, SSED, WE and co-present these at workshops and conferences.
·
Identify, develop and support
new initiatives and technologies for better programme implementation and
conduct orientation sessions for the related staff.
·
Write/Review
all programme related strategic papers (WASH, NRM, SSED and WE) on a regular
basis and advice the Deputy Director / Head of Programme and Director if any changes are required.
·
Ensure that the key regional and national & international
frameworks (like ANPDF, ANDS, NPPS, SDGs) are contextualized and applied in
the country programme context and ensure that staff understands these.
·
Developing key documents on lesson-learned from each project/programme,
and inculcate/translate it to new opportunities.
·
Support the Deputy Director /
Head of Programme in networking with the other
NGOs and Government departments and when representing DACAAR in external
meetings, other technical and Clusters Meetings.
·
Support the Fundraising and Communications
department in relation to the technical and thematic aspects of project
development, on the drafting of project proposals, programme strategy concept papers
and addressing donor ad–hoc requests.
·
Liaise with Fundraising & Communications Department
on publication and dissemination of technical papers related to all thematic
areas.
·
Collaborate with M&E Team in ensuring that
M&E findings from the field are discussed, followed up on and considered
in project implementation.
·
Support DACAAR Water Expertise Training Center
(WETC) in developing and adapting training materials. Identify new trainings
topics and develop training packages.
·
Assist
the WETC staff in preparing technical papers and articles on thematic issues
for presentation at appropriate meetings and conferences.
·
Participate and contribute in the relevant
strategy development workshops.
·
Ensure
high level of synergy and coordination among all thematic areas and
avoid duplication in the activities.
·
Conduct Researches on contextual relevant and viable good practices,
and opportunities to pilot and replicate project/programmes.
·
Internal coordination within the organization and ensuring consistent
improvements in the systems and the knowledge of the team members.
·
Any
other tasks as assigned by the Deputy Director / Head of Programme.
