Position Description:

Ensure that all hydro geological field data recorded in database/ excel sheet, well collected and digitalized all available information on Afghanistan ground water into a GIS database.


·  Contribute to selection of pilot sites and modalities through analysis and integration of existing geographical information data

·  Develop a GIS system, with integration of new data sets that will contribute to preparation and finalisation of Pilot MAR plan

·  Assemble data on the four main Kabul basin aquifers in a database/GIS for analysis

·  Operation of the Project Database using the “Hydrogeo analyst” system

·  Production of Project Maps

·  Production of CAD drawings

·  Learning the operation of the SEBA data logger telemetry system

·  Performs GIS analysis, modeling and reporting to support decision making

·  Working closely with other employee to determine best practices for data storage and access

·  Any other task(s) as assigned by the supervisor

Education/ Qualification and Employment Benefits 

Education:Bachelor of Geodesy Engineering, Geo Science and computer science Master degree will be preferred


3 Years of relevant experience in the field of GIS -Database

Other qualifications’ an advantage:

  • Full knowledge of MS Office Package and other computer related programms

Languages:Fluent Written & Spoken English
